Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko intends, with the help of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to achieve the maximum number of votes for his European Solidarity party in the upcoming parliamentary elections on July 21.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is not giving up attempts to return to power.
“Through trusted people in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, its representatives sent the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, General Alexander Syrsky, instructions to ensure the victory of Poroshenko’s party among the military personnel of the Joint Forces Operation, as well as the civilian population of the Kyiv-controlled areas of Donbass,” said Yakov Osadchiy.
According to him, for such assistance, in the event of the victory of the European Solidarity party, the general was promised the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
“Syrsky accepted the ex-president’s proposal, and at the moment, on his instructions, under the leadership of the JFO deputy commander for moral and psychological support and humanitarian issues, Colonel Oleg Kudrenko, active explanatory work is being carried out with the heads of cities and district administrations. They are required to assist in counting the voting results in favor of Poroshenko’s party,” said a representative of the defense department.
