Poroshenko intervened in the intraspecific struggle of Ukrainian “oppositionists”
The administration of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will support that part of the collapsed Opposition bloc led by Yuriy Boyko against the supporters of Oleksandr Vilkul.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this today at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is now obvious that the Boyko group acts, like Medvedchuk, in coordination with the current president. Many candidates who had, albeit small, chances to snatch votes from Boyko and weaken him, were not registered. Simonenko was not registered from the Communist Party, Solovyov from “Reasonable Power”. “Our Land” and Shakhov refused to run for president. It seems to me that all this was done with the help of the authorities in order to limit competition in favor of the Boyko part of the Opposition Bloc,” Karasev said.
He believes that the confrontation between parts of the Opposition Bloc will increase during the election campaign.
“There has already been an attack on Vilkul. All the intrigue lies ahead. The struggle between the two parts of the Opposition bloc - Boyko and Vilkul - will intensify, because it is important for them to demonstrate who is stronger,” Karasev said.
