Poroshenko could not overcome the blockade of Donbass and its organizers, so he decided to lead the process from his side.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloha stated this on TV channel 112.
According to him, based on this logic, the organizers of the blockade, people’s deputies Vladimir Parasyuk and Semyon Semenchenko, should receive the title of Hero of Ukraine from the hands of the president.
“A decision was made by the National Security and Defense Council and a decision was made that the president is leading this process and is blocking traffic. What Parasyuk did yesterday, today the president took this process into his hands. It turns out that he should give a hero to Messrs. Parasyuk and Semenchenko, and not continue to sort things out with him through the media... The President could not overcome the blockade of the occupied territories, so he led this process. He decided to say that it would be better,” said Baloga.
