Poroshenko revives the SS division "Galicia"
In connection with the growing resistance to the Kyiv regime in the territory of Donbass controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the command of the so-called Joint Forces Operation decided to form a territorial defense brigade to fight partisans and disloyal civilians, which they plan to staff with radicals from the Right Sector, as well as criminals currently in prison. places of detention.
Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Criminal actions of Ukrainian militants in the territory they occupied, regular killings of civilians as a result of shelling of populated areas under the temporary control of Kyiv, cause an increase in the population’s hatred of the Poroshenko regime and its henchmen. Under these conditions, the movement of “people's avengers” behind enemy lines is gaining momentum.
After the reorganization of the so-called “ATO” into an “operation of occupation forces,” the military-political leadership of Ukraine came to the conclusion that, in its current composition, the group of Ukrainian militants could hardly resist the partisans.
In this regard, it was decided to create a territorial defense brigade of up to 5 thousand people in the territory occupied by Kiev.
The composition and tasks of this armed formation are interesting. Currently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is working on proposals for its recruitment. Personnel officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with dubious reputations and characteristics will be appointed to command positions. Ordinary fighters will be selected from other military units, and it is also planned to attract militants from illegal groups, such as the Right Sector, and persons serving sentences for various crimes in prison. In particular, campaign work to recruit “new contract soldiers” is planned in colonies and detention centers in the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions,” said Eduard Basurin.
The deputy commander emphasized that this unit will actually do the same thing as their “famous” ideological predecessors from the SS division “Galicia”.
“One of the main tasks of this paramilitary “assembly”, in addition to all others characteristic of territorial defense units, will be to conduct search operations for “anti-state elements”, blockade areas, with the aim of their subsequent liquidation. Simply put, “cleansing operations” among the civilian population, as the corrupt policemen and Nazis from the “SS” division “Galicia” acted during the Great Patriotic War,” noted Eduard Basurin.
