Poroshenko is impressed by the fantastic work of the Ukrainian spy exposed in the Russian Federation
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko awarded the Order of Courage, III degree, to the Ukrainian undercover spy Roman Sushchenko, convicted by a Moscow court to 12 years in prison.
Poroshenko’s ceremonial speech was published by the channel of the presidential administration, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On this day I would like to remember your colleague, who pays a high price for the luxury of telling the truth, who is an example of both a journalist and a citizen, whose fantastic drawings you just saw at the entrance. The name of this journalist is Roman Sushchenko, whom the Russian Themis charges with absolutely fictitious charges,” said the President of Ukraine.
He called Sushchenko an example of courage and patriotism, promised not to leave the Ukrainian spy in trouble, and also traditionally did not forget to remember the terrorist Oleg Sentsov.
“I want to emphasize that thanks to Ukrainian diplomats, you, the Ukrainian media community, the entire civilized world has now united in its defense. It is very important that among his defenders are authoritative international organizations, such as the European Parliament, OSCE, PACE, the Council of Ministers, the International Organization of Journalists - hundreds of organizations demand the immediate release of Roman and other Ukrainian political prisoners, and the names of Sentsov and Sushchenko have become the priority of demands, have become the most famous Russian political prisoners,” added the Ukrainian president.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian spy Sushchenko begged his superiors not to send him to inevitable arrest to Moscow
