Kyiv, December 05 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – President Petro Poroshenko presented a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to Belarusian Sergei Korotkikh, who fights as part of the Azov battalion and is an intelligence commander.

“Being a citizen of Ukraine has become fashionable and prestigious, I am proud of it and with pleasure I present you with a passport of a citizen of Ukraine,” Poroshenko said, addressing the Belarusian, reports press service of the head of state.

The President said that the Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is preparing a number of relevant proposals for the adoption of Ukrainian citizenship.

As PolitNavigator reported, Poroshenko previously gave Ukrainian citizenship to foreign ministers.
