As PolitNavigator reported, on January 5, Petro Poroshenko at the airfield in Ozernoye near Zhitomir took part in the ceremony of handing over to the Ukrainian army restored 150 infantry fighting vehicles and 4 aircraft, two of which were Su-27, and the other two were Mig-29.
Polish journalists are confident that the transferred aircraft, in a situation with better funding and support, most likely would have been considered faulty and unfit for flight. According to the portal, the Ukrainian president was forced to take such a step by the difficult situation with the supply of new weapons, the loss of a flight fleet of about 50 aircraft in Crimea and the destruction of at least 20 planes and helicopters in the Donbass.
The delivered vehicles are not new, but old, refurbished, probably manufactured in the USSR. In addition, the fleet of the Ukrainian troops includes old Soviet Su-24, Su-25, An-26, the renewal of which is not expected.
