Poroshenko made an urgent appeal to Privatbank clients: Stay calm
Petro Poroshenko made an urgent appeal to the clients of Privatbank, which, as is known, was “snatched” from the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky last night - became the property of the state - was nationalized.
Poroshenko called on clients to remain calm, assuring that the new administration of the financial institution, formed with the participation of Western managers, will not allow its collapse.
According to Poroshenko, the transition of Privat to state ownership was necessary because the financial institution was threatened with bankruptcy.
Poroshenko assures that he has the documented consent of Privat shareholders to nationalization.
As you know, the day before, residents of Ukraine began to withdraw money en masse from Privat accounts, fearing rumors about a change of its owners.

Employee of Kolomoisky's TV channel Alexander Dubinsky warned of the threat of collapse of the banking system after the nationalization of the financial institution.
“...The bank’s activities, and along with it, half of all payments in the country will be paralyzed. Which, in fact, will mean the collapse of the banking and settlement systems. All the fables about instantly joining Oschadbank are nothing more than a bluff. Outdated technologies (payment, card, processing, etc.) and unmotivated staff of the state bank are not able to take control of such a machine, and the management of Privat is unlikely to remain helping the state after forced nationalization. Yes, and remember the queues of pensioners in Oschada. And to understand how it will all look, multiply them by 5,” Dubinsky paints the prospects.
