Poroshenko is clearing out the latest media: A search is taking place at the Vesti radio station in Kyiv

Ukrainian security forces continue to purge all media that could pose at least some threat to the “monopoly on truth.”

Today, a search is being carried out in the Gulliver shopping center in the center of Kyiv, where, in particular, the Vesti radio station is located, which is associated with the former Minister of Revenue during the Yanukovych presidency, Alexander Klimenko.

Previously, there were rumors that Klimenko, hoping to gain Poroshenko’s favor and permission to return to Kyiv, softened the information policy of his media holding.

However, even the rhetoric in which the residents of Donbass are called “separatists” and Crimea “occupied” did not save Vesti.

Previously, the radio station was deprived of a significant part of its frequencies for broadcasting.

And today, the chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, Anatoly Matios, announced another search in “Gulliver” - allegedly in the case of the “Yanukovych-Klimenko military organization.”

“The Main Military Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Department of Protection of the National Police and the Kord special unit, is conducting the “second wave” of implementation in the case of the Yanukovych-Klymenko criminal organization. Currently, 183 searches are being carried out in premises belonging to ex-minister Klimenko. Including in the Gulliver office center in Kyiv, several floors of which are the property of the ex-minister and members of his family,” said Matios.

A few days ago, Ukrainian security forces searched the office of another opposition publication, Strana. A criminal case was opened against its editor-in-chief Igor Guzhva, who previously headed Vesti.
