Poroshenko threw a tantrum over the elections in the LDPR
After the elections in the LPR and DPR, the West must impose new sanctions on Russia.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during a speech at the international conference “Lessons of the hybrid decade: what you need to know to successfully move forward,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“No compromise on issues of Russian aggression, especially on issues of sanctions, until the full restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty over all occupied and annexed territories. Even any hints of easing pressure provoke Russia to ignore the peace process in Donbass, including the suspension of the deployment of a full-fledged UN peacekeeping mission based on a Security Council mandate, and to new repressions against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in Crimea, and even more, it whets the aggressive appetites of the Kremlin.
I expect that the so-called fake elections that Russia decided to hold on November 11 will trigger the introduction of new sanctions, and show that the West's patience is not unlimited either. Now is the time to talk not about easing sanctions against Russia, but about strengthening them,” Poroshenko said.
