Poroshenko concluded a non-aggression pact with Akhmetov
Today in Ukraine there are no oligarchic groups left that can compete with President Poroshenko.

Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev expressed this opinion in a commentary to a Kyiv magazine correspondent.
“He is number one, he simply has no competitors now. The oligarchs are defeated. The literal confirmation is the fall of Kolomoisky’s empire. Before this, the empires of Firtash and Zhevago fell, and the influence of Pinchuk’s group decreased. Only Akhmetov remains, but Poroshenko has a “non-aggression pact” with him, with Akhmetov clearly removed from politics. Now the President has neither political nor oligarchic competing groups that could claim to be doing politics in Ukraine,” the expert believes.
At the same time, Karasev clarified that Ukrainian policy at this stage “is carried out by the president’s team, Western partners and international financial institutions.”
