Poroshenko made a deal to avoid going to jail
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky gave previous President Petro Poroshenko guarantees of immunity in exchange for support in voting for the necessary bills.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Otherwise they would not have voted for the land without Poroshenko, from this all analysts and politicians concluded that there is some kind of contract, mutual obligations between Poroshenko and Zelensky. That in those cases when Zelensky really needs, but does not have enough of his own votes, for example, as happened in the case of Kolomoisky, when his people refused to vote, and there are quite a lot of them there, more than 40, then it became clear that without external help he could not will be able to get the necessary votes and reached an agreement with Poroshenko...
This obviously happened simply because Zelensky promised him something. What can you promise a person against whom there are already suspicions in relation to one and a half dozen criminal cases? In fact, for some of them, he should have been in prison a long time ago, and for very long periods,” Pogrebinsky said.
