“Now the Americans are working on a “successor” project in order to replace Poroshenko, who is boring to everyone and has compromised himself, with a new person who will be a kind of “Macron in Ukraine.” They are preparing this person. But I have doubts that he will be able to claim leadership in conditions of anarchy, and even more so, the status of a strong hand,” the expert said.
According to him. Today people with radical views are heard, and a request for a strong hand could also lead to the coming to power in Ukraine of right-wing radicals who are not just anti-Russian, but Russophobic.
“But their rise to power will intensify the disintegration of Ukraine. The West will not be able to openly support such people, a significant part of the territory of Ukraine will not be able to accept them, and this may lead to the emergence of “new DPRs,” only to the west,” Kornilov believes.
He also noted that the President of Ukraine in this situation is nervous and makes mistakes one after another.
“He does some stupid things every day - what is the story with Saakashvili and the attempt arrests on the roof. It is clear that the person is openly losing control of the situation, is nervous, makes new mistakes, and is trying not to quarrel with the West.
