Poroshenko launches the “ship of the dead”
The urgently announced press conference of Petro Poroshenko most likely aims to present a new presidential party, which is hastily being put together with an eye to trying to be re-elected for a second term.
TV presenter of the “1+1” channel Alexander Dubinsky writes about this in his blog.

“According to my information, Pyotr Alekseevich is in a hurry to announce to us the creation of a united ruling party, with which he will go to the elections, in the hope of a second term.
This party will be called either “United Force” or “United European Force” (European is a nod to Petya’s visa-free regime). And it will include the BPP-Klitschko, the Popular Front and Groysman.
As of yesterday evening, the distribution of shares of the new joint stock company was as follows:
– 50% of the pariahs come under the control of Poroshenko and Klitschko
– 30% given to Yatsenyuk and his Popular Front
– 20% goes to Groysman as a payoff for his political non-ambitions.
The newly created structure nominates Petro Poroshenko as its single presidential candidate and will support him with all available resources. Including the financial resources of Dmitry Firtash and Valery Khoroshkovsky.
Such a unification is a necessary measure in the face of the threat of Tymoshenko’s victory in the presidential election and the subsequent dispossession of the “Maidan authorities” in favor of “newcomers.”
At the same time, you need to understand that, despite a successful combination of circumstances for Poroshenko and the seeming consolidation of recent opponents around his figure, all the participants in this alliance continue to hate him involuntarily,” argues Dubinsky.
“If Poroshenko really talked the NF and Groysman into an alliance, then this is an invitation to the “ship of the dead.” Summation of negativity. Both the NF, Groysman, and even Klitschko would have a chance if they united. But without Poroshenko and Lutsenko. Petr Alekseevich is toxic both in the world and in Ukraine. Lutsenko is the same. Yes, there are administrative levers to falsify elections, but this is always fraught with Maidan. Well, Pyotr Alekseevich’s ability to negotiate is the stuff of legends. I think that he began to “screw” the concessionaires even before the conclusion of the contract. And your “quotas” themselves are a purely corrupt phenomenon. You’re not dividing labor and responsibility, but stupid money,” comments ex-SBU press secretary Stanislav Rechinsky.
