Poroshenko launched a war scenario
The death of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, is associated with the start of the presidential election campaign in Ukraine.
Russian political scientist Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.
“We understand perfectly well who benefits from this death. There is undisguised joy in the Ukrainian media about this. It is clear that all this is being done on the eve of the Ukrainian elections. Poroshenko needs to increase his electoral base, but this man cannot demonstrate anything other than the war in Donbass,” Gasparyan said.
In his opinion, today’s terrorist attack demonstrated: Ukraine is not going to peacefully resolve the conflict in Donbass.
“In Ukraine they say every day that it is necessary to resolve the conflict by armed means. They expect that the elimination of iconic figures from Donbass will help them implement this plan. But as practice shows, they will not achieve their goal. The citizens of the LDPR will be even more frantic. Zakharchenko's death will unite people. Everyone understands perfectly well that we are talking about a war of destruction - let’s call a spade a spade,” Gasparyan said.
