Petro Poroshenko said this during a ceremony honoring participants in hostilities on the territory of other states.
“If the blockade is stopped and the organizers do not bring it to the so-called design capacity, we could lose up to 300 thousand jobs, 300 thousand people will end up on the street. The state will lose up to $2 billion in foreign exchange earnings with all the ensuing consequences for the hryvnia exchange rate. In the occupied territories, tens of thousands of people will remain unemployed; I emphasize that there is no labor market there, and a significant part of them will go to the militants in order to survive, to earn money,” he said.
He assures that Ukraine has economic relations with enterprises that are located on the territory of the LDPR, only to support those entrepreneurs who, being in uncontrolled territory, continue to remain in the legal field of Ukraine.
“I emphasize that this is not trade with the occupiers. This is cooperation with enterprises that, although located in occupied territory, were still able to remain within the legal framework of Ukraine. I emphasize, those who pay taxes to the budget of Ukraine,” Poroshenko assures.
Let us note that despite these loud statements, Petro Poroshenko is not doing anything to stop the illegal activities of a small group of militants blocking the railway.
