Poroshenko wants to continue robbing Ukraine
Issues of autocephaly and changes to the Constitution regarding the country’s course in NATO and the EU are aimed at raising the rating of the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Lawyer and TV channel manager Andrei Portnov said this on the air of NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It won't do anything. We need to look at the root of why this was done. All this is being done for the PR of one person – the President of Ukraine. We understand that he has been articulating this thesis for several years: he promised a referendum, then “goodbye for the rest” and goodbye to unwashed Russia, today he recited another verse. Now he wants to write NATO into the Constitution. Today, according to the Constitution, Ukraine is a neutral state. By and large, if there is the will of parliament, they can change this,” the lawyer believes.
Portnov noted that all the active activities of the current president are aimed only at obtaining excess profits from the natural resources of Ukraine.
“I do not have a negative attitude towards North Atlantic and Euro integration. We need to weigh and calculate how the country will be more protected and move in this direction. But for this it is not necessary to first change the Constitution in order to earn some points through cheap PR three months before the election campaign? And start this process together with the religious movement, with the so-called tomos and possible autocephaly in order to get a completely different task - to extend their power in order to earn further and control natural resources longer and receive extremely high profits with it,” Portnov said.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Petro Poroshenko said that The European Union and NATO need the Ukrainian army, which is one of the strongest on the continent.
