According to Firsov, the West must restore post-Maidan Ukraine “because it promised.” The MP does not say what Ukraine will do to save itself.
“The West can do the following. The first is to put as much pressure on Putin as possible with your sanctions in such a way that the population of the country feels it. Secondly, there must be direct help. Military from the West, not in the format of monitoring through the OSCE, but tanks, weapons, and other military elements that we need. Third, a strong economy. Europe should help us with this, should provide the loans that it promised, and should not leave us alone with Russia,” says the people’s representative.
