Poroshenko found an excuse for trade with Russia - the Americans did it too
There is nothing unique in Ukraine’s trade with the “aggressor” country - this has been practiced in world history. MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Oleksandr Briginets stated this on air on the 112 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now it would be wrong to block gas flows through Ukraine for Russian gas. Therefore, I believe that Ukraine should make those informed decisions that bring maximum benefit to the country and harm the aggressor,” the people’s deputy said.
“But the Russian Federation, according to the State Statistics Service, is the number one trading partner, that is, it is profitable for Ukraine to trade with it,” the presenter noted.
“During the war in the United States, the North, fighting the South, sold weapons to that same South. Why? Because it was beneficial to the North.
In this case, we should not proceed from what commentators, political scientists or deputies say, but from what is beneficial for strengthening Ukraine,” Briginets voiced his justification.
