Poroshenko propagandists: The law “on the reintegration of Donbass” is based on the experience of the Croatian massacre
Announced law “on the reintegration of Donbass” was written taking into account the experience of the bloody military operation of Croatia against the Serbian Krajina. The notorious TV presenter Matvey Ganapolsky stated this on the air of the new pro-presidential TV channel “Direct”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Croatian experience was studied. For Ukraine, it is all the more interesting because it includes military operations, political dialogue, and peaceful integration. Former Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic believes that no peaceful reintegration would have been possible without successful military operations. Here is his quote: “First we had to show strength, and then talk.” That's what he says.
If we talk about the political component, it is interesting to note that the residents of the occupied territories did not have passports - in order to vote in the elections, they had to receive documents, which confirmed the recognition of Croatian independence.
Work was done to prevent radicals from participating in the elections; voters voted not for parties, but for specific people; elections were held only after the complete demilitarization of the region.
Next came the transitional police, armed only with pistols - these were the only armed forces in the region. The population was offered to hand over weapons voluntarily, to sell them voluntarily, and searches were carried out,” Ganapolsky said.
“If we summarize the Croatian experience, they came up with this name - forcing peace through military operations under the threat of a full-scale war, mobilizing all resources, taking into account, most importantly, their interests. This is the design. We hope the Ukrainian government will be strong and consistent in this,” the propagandist added.
