Portnov announced the beginning of purges of radical gangs
Former deputy head of the administration of Viktor Yanukovych Andrei Portnov announced trials against “key activists, patriots, titushki, gangs controlled by the security forces, gunpowder bots and opinion leaders created with offshore money,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, these processes will begin within a few weeks, after the change of power in Ukraine.
“Friends, I think in a few weeks, in addition to the change of President, some other processes will begin to take place in the country. They will affect key activists, patriots, titushki, gangs controlled by security forces, gunpowder robots and opinion leaders created with offshore money. I'm sure they will slowly begin to disappear. Some go to prison, some go into exile, some go to the sofa, some go to the hospital, and some go altogether. This is an objective process, because for the first time in five years, this category of non-performing elements will no longer be supported and financed by the official authorities - the president, security forces, members of the government and Poroshenko’s business partners,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, changing the current security forces “will deprive the bandits roaming the country of protection. Their conflicts, attacks, showdowns, roofs and participation in extra-procedural justice will cease to be controlled and protected by the authorities, which will first lead to their weakening, and then to gradual elimination or evolutionary disappearance.”
Portnov also stated that he considers “the separation of power and the above-mentioned groups to be one of the most urgent tasks of the new president.”
“This task must be completed in the first months,” the ex-official concluded.
