Portnov gracefully mocked Zelensky’s advisers
Ukrainian lawyer, former deputy head of the Presidential Administration during the times of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrei Portnov, subtly trolled numerous advisers to the elected President Vladimir Zelensky, who in recent weeks have literally flooded the Ukrainian media with their opinions on various issues, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Friends, I have a recommendation for the President’s advisers.
If you don’t know what to advise, be sure to deeply study the issue, enlist the support of authoritative experts, share responsibility for the problem with recognized experts, diversify the risks of possible criticism with opinion leaders in a given field, conduct informal consultations and form a pool of like-minded people in the journalistic community.
Don't just randomly recommend the first thought that comes to mind, and don't be shy about saying that you need time to fully prepare your final conclusion. If necessary, pass the most complex and major issues through a collegial review, working group or meeting.
Be sure to visualize the implementation of your advice in 3-D, predict the thoughts of your opponents several moves ahead and immediately analyze the expected results. Look at everything from the outside, imagine the headlines of tomorrow's newspapers and only then offer something.
And further. You were appointed advisors to the President, and not to the people, so there is no need to broadcast something every day in your own name and indiscriminately, otherwise, if you listen to what you have already advised regarding defense, occupied territories, universal declaration, media ownership, reboots of judges and expulsion of oligarchs, then the roof turns over a little.
Don’t cause damage to the elected President with your random ideas, consult with him and think,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
