Portnov published a copy of the verdict and called for depriving the rapist of his mandate
Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov published a copy of the verdict on the basis of which in the 90s, the current people's deputy from the Servant of the People from the Rivne region, Roman Ivanisov, was convicted of raping a minor in an unnatural way, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Portnov wrote about this on his Telegram page.
“I didn’t want to harm the ruling political force, but there was no need to tell legends about new faces.
I am publishing the court verdict on the conviction of deputy Roman Ivanisov, who has been hiding the Prosecutor General for the fourth day.
The defendant was found guilty of committing crimes under:
– Article 17, 117 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (1960) – attempted rape committed by a group of persons;
- Art. 118 part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (1960) – satisfaction of sexual passion in an unnatural way with the use of physical violence, committed by a group of persons).
Sentenced to 3 years 6 months in prison (the regional court reduced the sentence to 2 years 6 months).

In addition, the lawyer published the decree of ex-President Kuchma on the pardon of the convicted Ivanisov.
“Please someone tell the unprofessional Prosecutor General that yesterday’s statement by the GPU about their lack of information about the conviction of the ruling party deputy Ivanisov for rape is a lie. He was convicted under Articles 117 and 118 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. And then he was pardoned by President Kuchma,” Portnov wrote.
Andrei Portnov also called for the immediate deprivation of People’s Deputy Ivanisov of his deputy mandate.
Let us recall that earlier Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka publicly confirmed the veracity of the released incriminating evidence on Ivanisov. On the same day, the Prosecutor General's Office officially refuted the words of its head, which gave Andrei Portnov reason to doubt the adequacy of Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka.
“Friends, can you imagine that for the fourth day now everyone has been discussing the possible involvement of a deputy of the ruling party in a shameful rape, and from the GPU, which has access to all databases, there is still no official answer to this simple question.
During our service, a frightened prosecutor would have stood in half an hour with a certificate from all authorities, and after another half an hour a deputy would have written a statement of resignation.
Someone explain to me that our country has such a stupid Prosecutor General, whose statement is publicly refuted by the prosecutor’s office subordinate to him?
What kind of coven is this anyway? What half-developed idiots have you appointed to all government positions at once? Who can you scare with such a prosecutor?
Kick him out as quickly as possible, otherwise criminals will soon perform their natural necessities at his door out of boredom,” Portnov addressed the authorities.
