Portnov: Poroshenko is doing everything to ensure that Ukraine finally loses in the Privatbank trial
Yesterday's meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, convened by Petro Poroshenko on the issue of PrivatBank, the nationalization of which was declared illegal by the court the day before, plays into the hands of businessman Igor Kolomoisky and only worsens the position of the state in the higher courts, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Former deputy head of Viktor Yanukovych’s administration Andrei Portnov reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Friends, someone explain to the stupid, frivolous clown who for some reason convened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council today in connection with the court decision on Privatbank, that he is acting in full accordance with the interests of Igor Kolomoisky. Because there is only one legal way to fight a court decision - this is to appeal it to the appellate instance and only by a party to the case.
Any other government interference in court decisions, statements and meetings of officials is a direct path to the defeat of the state in the ECHR.
Therefore, I agree with the thesis that Poroshenko is Kolomoisky’s puppet,” Portnov concluded.
The ex-official also ironically added that yesterday’s decision by Poroshenko and the National Security and Defense Council regarding PrivatBank is of “very important national importance.”
“The exceptional value of this decision is that it can be placed right at the meeting in the place where the back loses its noble name. Gather each member of the National Security and Defense Council for a meeting, distribute the draft decision of the National Security and Defense Council, fold it in half/four and, in a solemn atmosphere, place it at the specified address.
