Portnov proposed to the Ukrainian authorities to release Vyshinsky without conditions and demands
Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov appealed to the Ukrainian authorities to release from custody journalist Kirill Vyshinsky, former head of RIA Novosti-Ukraine, who is sitting in a pre-trial detention center awaiting trial on charges of treason, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Portnov wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to Portnov, such a step will increase the authority of the Ukrainian authorities and demonstrate good will to begin constructive negotiations with the Russian Federation.
“I appeal to the authorities, judicial and ordinary. Next week there will be another meeting regarding the detained journalist Kirill Vyshinsky.
I propose to change his preventive measure, release him from custody and thereby show his constructive position and readiness to speed up negotiations with Russia on Ukrainian sailors.
You do not lose anything by this, but significantly increase your authority, demonstrate will, strong character and put the problem on the updated agenda.
Release him without counter conditions or demands,” Portnov wrote.
Thank you!
