Portnov criticized Zelensky’s adviser for the “Kyrgyz epic”
After taking office, the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will reconsider the odious decisions of the current head of state Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by Zelensky’s adviser, ex-Minister of Finance Alexander Danylyuk.
“Our Zelensky team is monitoring all appointments. We will reconsider the odious decisions of Petro Poroshenko. We must understand that people appointed by the outgoing administration in the last weeks of work a priori receive less public trust - how will they work? This is called “living in a new way,” Danilyuk said in an interview with Liga.net.
He said that the team of the newly elected president is collaborating with public organizations, for example, with the Anti-Corruption Center.
“We plan to restart the recruitment and certification of judges. Voluntary appointment of Supreme Court judges by the outgoing president in the last days of his term, whose integrity raised questions. Supreme Court judges who have been found to be dishonest are unacceptable. The calculation is that the new president will be busy with other issues, not before that,” Danilyuk said.
At the same time, Ukrainian lawyer, former deputy head of the Administration during the Yanukovych era, Andrei Portnov, criticized these statements by Danilyuk.
“Danilyuk told how he would restart the Supreme Court and cancel Poroshenko’s Decrees on the appointment of judges. Considering that a Supreme Court judge can be dismissed only if the full moon is accompanied by the simultaneous entry of Jupiter into the zone of the constellation Sagittarius, such statements can be made if you can ensure the result of what is said.
And if you can’t, then any next word will devalue you and harm the President. And also, to be safe, there is no need to oppose the judiciary and make threats without levers to implement your threats.
And in general, it is better to consult with the Head of State, and not speak on one’s own behalf within the framework of the Kyrgyz folk epic “what I see is what I sing,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Let us recall that before leaving office, Poroshenko carried out personnel rotation of a number of important officials, and also appointed people from his circle to government posts.
