Portnov told how Poroshenko and Parubiy are nightmares
Criminal proceedings against ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his associates are gaining momentum, and, despite the delay in the process, the defendants will answer in full.
The ex-deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine during the times of Viktor Yanukovych, lawyer Andrei Portnov, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So far, regarding the former president, regarding the crimes that the State Bureau of Investigation is charging him with - as you know, today he did not appear for the next interrogation. This is already the third no-show. He is constantly looking for reasons: either a trip abroad, then the lawyer was on vacation and could not come without him. And Pyotr Alekseevich does not have enough money for another lawyer.
When you constantly don't show up, it means you are looking for a reason, you are afraid. Accordingly, you have something to hide,” the lawyer explained.
“We have Parubiy at risk for two episodes. As far as I know, about a hundred deputies of the previous convocation have already been interrogated,” Portnov added.
According to him, Poroshenko’s entourage is accused of “they actually usurped power, they elected a prime minister without constitutional powers and thus took control over finances and natural resources, medicine, education, the budget, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and everything else.” "
“Therefore, the main person involved in this case is Parubiy. This case may not end quickly, but for now there are other episodes. This is the matter of the Maidan and the matter of the second of May,” Portnov summed up.
