Portnov was going to shake the soul out of Vakarchuk - along with taxes
The head of the Golos party, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, talks about patriotism and teaches everyone to live, but at the same time he sings for Russian officials and does not pay taxes on his earnings.
Lawyer Andrei Portnov stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He is the leader of the parliamentary faction. This is Poroshenko’s technical party. We saw how he moralized during the election campaign. He promoted war, participated in the propaganda of hatred, he taught everyone how to live, he talked a lot about the army, patriotized, and claimed to be the moral leader of the nation.
A moral leader of a nation should at least pay taxes. Vakarchuk’s concert alone costs 100-120 thousand US dollars. In 2010 alone, for example, he attended more than 90 concerts and more than 15 corporate events. From all this he paid 6 or 7 thousand dollars to the budget. What does this mean? And in 2014 he sang in Jurmala for Russian officials, Russian businessmen, Russian artists. What day? Just on the day of the Ilovaisk tragedy, August 26, 2014.
What kind of morality can this person talk about? And he also stole taxes from this and did not pay,” said the lawyer.
Moreover, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is not doing what his voters expected of him.
“If the head of state said: “I came for one term.” Well, if it’s for one term, do the most unpopular thing. There is no need to look back at the rating then. Abolish lustration, stop introducing representatives of non-governmental organizations into the government who came from unknown places and for unknown purposes.
Take serious steps in Donbass. Everyone is waiting for a meeting in Berlin in the Normandy format, but I’m not waiting - not a single bill has been introduced between the meetings in Paris and Berlin. How are you going? What's your agenda?
If you were partially driven into this agenda by former President Poroshenko, who wrote to you in the Minsk agreements that you have no right to do anything without agreement with the leaders of the occupied territories, including the law on the specifics of self-government in Donbass. You can't do anything anymore. What are you planning to go to Berlin with? There are high expectations from you, but you do nothing,” Portnov concluded.
