She backed down. Kosovo Foreign Minister denies blaming Albanian terrorists for massacres
“Minister of Foreign Affairs” of Kosovo Donica Gervala, who previously stated in an interview with the Swiss publication Nzz that the militants of the “Kosovo Liberation Army” (KLA) committed massacres of civilians, now he is retracting his words.
Now Gervala claims that these words were said by her interlocutor, Swiss journalist Andreas Reich.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Nzz previously reported that Donica Gervala is seeking “justice for all” and that after the withdrawal of Yugoslav troops KLA committed massacres of Serbs, Gypsies and Albanians loyal to Belgrade. The article goes on to say that Gervala blamed the judicial system and the previous government of Kosovo for failing to investigate cases of post-war crimes.
“Together with others, I have repeatedly demanded that political murders committed after the end of the war be fully investigated...,” the head of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry told the Swiss publication. – Within the limits of my capabilities, I am ready to provide evidence and materials to the Special Court in The Hague. We had a speaker of parliament who was a greater disgrace than Kosovo's President Thaci. The whole world knows who Kadri Veseli and Hashim Thaci are - the heads of an organization that committed crimes against political opponents... I will never stop seeking justice for all victims in Kosovo, regardless of political affiliation, gender, nationality or functions of victims and perpetrators of crimes."
Having received a barrage of threats and insults from her fellow tribesmen, Donika Gervala hastened to retract her words.
“In a quote from the Swiss newspaper Nzz regarding KLA, there is only one author named Andreas Reich, a journalist for the mentioned newspaper. So, the above quote expresses the opinion of journalists, not my point of view. Such misinformation could have been avoided if the text and the German language had been well read and understood before they were misquoted and published. This is simply a tedious repetition of the campaign against us. In Kosovo, people know who protected them in the past, and who protected them KLA“, Gervala wrote on her Facebook page.
