The Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada was convicted of hiding millions from the sale of land in Crimea
The Solomensky Court of Kyiv made a decision obliging NABU to investigate the fact of concealment from declaration of 4,7 million Russian rubles received by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Shevchenko for the sale of land that belonged to him in Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Former deputy head of the administration of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrei Portnov, who acted as a plaintiff in this case, reported this on his telegram channel.
“Let me remind you that the defendant entered into a land sale deal in the Crimea on a Russian notary form indicating “Russian Federation, Republic of Crimea” and made payments on it to the Russian budget,” Portnov wrote.
According to him, this is the third court decision obliging the prosecutor’s office of the non-existent Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the prosecutor general’s office and NABU to investigate various aspects of the crime committed by the Ukrainian ambassador to Canada and the recognition of Russian jurisdiction in Crimea, which directly contradicts Ukrainian legislation.
“For now, these bodies are inactive because the functionary belongs to Poroshenko’s team, but sooner or later we will bring the matter to its logical conclusion,” Portnov promised.
