The corresponding decree appeared on the website of the head of state. In addition, Poroshenko personally introduced the new governor to the region’s activists.
Let us remind you that Barna is a people’s deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the current convocation, who entered parliament on the list of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party.
Residents of Crimea remember Stepan Barna during his time in the youth wing of Viktor Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine.
In 2008, Barna and his associates made one of the attempts to install a sign on the Grafskaya pier in Sevastopol in honor of the 90th anniversary of the raising of yellow-blue flags over the ships of the Black Sea Fleet during the Civil War. The sign was immediately torn down by outraged townspeople.
