After the escalation, the Russian Federation will block all Ukrainian ports – Yaremenko
If Ukraine withdraws from the Minsk Agreements, Russia will organize a total blockade of the country and mine the Black Sea.
Former Ukrainian diplomat, now Verkhovna Rada deputy Bogdan Yaremenko stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the parliamentarian, the West will not oppose this, because it will perceive Ukraine’s step as an attempt to escalate the conflict.
“A unilateral refusal of the Minsk agreements will be perceived by our partners in the world as a step towards escalation, as an aggressive foreign policy step by Ukraine. The world does not want an aggravation, absolutely does not want it. Russia categorically insists that “Minsk” cannot be touched, because if we discard it, not that we change it, but discard it, the world believes that this will provoke Russia into a sharp, aggressive response.
Further aggravation of the conflict. Blocking of Ukrainian ports. I mean in Black and Azov, all at the same time. And Ukraine’s loss of export-import routes. Believe me, they have a way. If suddenly several tankers simply explode from unknown mines somewhere on the approaches in neutral waters. There will be no war, there will be no Russian trace, it will simply not be possible to use it.
I’m telling you now what the experts and I are discussing in the Foreign Policy Committee,” Yaremenko said.
