Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko stated this at the congress of the Batkivshchyna party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are told that next year we will have 3% growth, and last year there was even more growth. All the growth, all the victories, all the laudatory speeches that are made today are broken by the fact that our economy was destroyed so much in 3,5 years that it is even impossible to calculate how many decades ago we have returned. The level of GDP per capita also decreased. Everyone has become twice as poor, and no amount of reports from today's corrupt government can refute such things. Are they talking about raising pensions, about pension reform, about what they have added to people and now the whole country of pensioners is happy? That people received this pension, went to stores and bought everything they needed - medicine, clothes, food?” Tymoshenko was indignant.
But the average pension in foreign currency has decreased by 3,5 times over the past 2,3 years. “What pension reform? They are destroying us - cynically, professionally, in solidarity, they are all united,” she said.
