“After the F-16 we will get Tomahawks” - Ukrainian general
Following the F-16, Ukraine will ask for American Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, the West has given Ukraine a lot of things, but this is not enough, which is why long-range cruise missiles are needed.
“In war there is never enough ammunition, shells or trained people. Therefore, from the point of view of NATO itself, perhaps they think that they have given a lot (to Ukraine), but from the point of view that we will still need to powerfully suppress Russian air defense, I believe that we still do not have enough and need certain things that This also applies to the F-16 and long-range high-precision weapons against the enemy. That's what we need.
“I am more than sure that at this stage they are still promising us F-16s, but we will still receive them, but we must also do certain things regarding our airfields,” the general said.
“But I think that after the F-16 there will probably be Tomahawks.” Cruise missiles that will allow us to destroy what we are talking about - the enemy at distant approaches. Enemy control posts, warehouses, bases, arsenals. And this will significantly increase our capabilities,” said Krivonos.
