The head of the information and analytical center “Third Sector” Andrei Zolotarev said this at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, noting that the court stated the need to implement the Minsk agreements, which were approved by a UN Security Council resolution.
“The decisions of the UN court in The Hague showed that the space for political maneuver has decreased to zero. When PR people get involved, the legal side of the issue suffers. In The Hague they believe not in PR people, but in legal arguments. International lawyers initially warned that there would be no result. If non-professionals take on the matter and it is politicized, most likely there will be failure. And so it happened. And the cherry on the cake of shit in the form of a decision on the Crimean Tatars does not change the essence of the matter,” the political scientist is convinced.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian international lawyers are not happy with the decision of the International Court of Justice, which refused to recognize Russia’s financing of terrorism and pointed out the need to implement the Minsk agreements.
