The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is saving himself with a truce in Donbass, because the continuation of aggression and refusal to implement the Minsk agreements on the part of Kyiv will give the defenders of Donbass every right to go on the offensive.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexey Zhuravlev stated this on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky, under the influence of the Americans, is playing his own game, and it’s clear what it is - he’s saving himself. If everything went to the point that the Minsk agreements were crossed out and put aside, then that’s it, our hands are untied, and we will stop restraining everyone.
And then I can say exactly what will happen there. And no matter what the Ukrainian army says about how powerful it is, it is not powerful, and when Donbass goes on the offensive, half of this army, if not more, will go over to the side of the militias,” the politician noted.
