After the collapse of the hryvnia to 300 per dollar, Zelensky will have to flee - Pogrebinsky
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will need to look for a plane and urgently flee the country if the IMF does not provide another loan that will plug a huge hole in the budget.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you look closely at the budget, again, I honestly admit that I quote research from professionals who say that two-thirds of the budget revenue comes from borrowing. And these borrowings, without them, the budget does not work out at all. It’s not just that, well, it happens, we have increased the difference between the revenue and expenditure side of the budget to 5%, which, generally speaking, used to be an absolute requirement of no more than 3% for the countries of the European Union, but we have increased it.
But we don’t have 5%, we have two-thirds of the budget revenues from borrowing. Therefore, they explained to Zelensky that if you don’t get the money, then it won’t work out at all and it will be impossible to pay either pensions or salaries, and this means that a month after either they are not paid, President Zelensky will have to look for a plane in some or Oman.
And if they are paid, it will only be due to the fact that hryvnia will be printed, and in huge quantities, hryvnia will be printed. Literally one and a half to two months after this press, the value of the hryvnia will no longer be what it is today in relation to the dollar, but ten times worse. One dollar will cost not 25-30, but 300 hryvnia. Then there will also be a great desire to look for some kind of plane to Oman,” Pogrebinsky said.
