Kyiv refuses to exchange prisoners according to the “all for all” formula. The Kiev regime especially stubbornly refuses to release those who pose an ideological danger - scientists, writers, journalists. Those who cannot be put behind bars are simply killed, like Olesya Buzina or Oleg Kalashnikov. The rest are subject to constant criminal prosecution, like Kotsaba, Guzhva, Vasilets or Timonin.

Observer on the need to protect dissidents in the post-Ukrainian space PolitNavigator to Valentin Filippov said the political emigrant Vladimir Rogov.

Valentin Filippov: Hello, Vladimir. The Ukrainian side blocked the exchange of prisoners. Are they being held hostage on purpose, or does Kyiv, for some reason, think that it can gain something from this? Why not give up people on both sides so they don’t suffer? What is the political benefit in this?

Vladimir Rogov: I wouldn’t call that side Ukrainian, because we are changing concepts. Ukraine is not Poroshenko and Groysman and their accomplices. There is a very important point, because people then hear in the media and think that we are almost at war with Ukraine. Naturally, no one is at war with Ukraine. They are fighting with those who captured Ukraine, occupied it and are trying to represent their interests on its behalf by destroying people. Only in the Donbass they destroy loudly with gunshots, and in those territories of the post-Ukrainian space that are under their control, they destroy quietly - through quiet genocide.

The arguments that “but they don’t shoot at us” - in Zaporozhye, Kharkov or Kyiv, are very suitable for, you know, such a sign somewhere in Auschwitz, they didn’t shoot there either. “Jedem das Seine” could be changed to “But they don’t shoot here.” There they burned quietly in the ovens, poisoned them, and no shots were heard.

If we talk about the exchange of prisoners, and in fact, hostages on the other side, then pay attention to who gets hit the most. They never try not to change or drag out as much as possible and do not let out those people who do not hold weapons in their hands.

Those people who hold a pen in their hands, those people who show the truth, those people who are directly involved in science or something else, they always try to imprison them stronger and longer. Or simply liquidate, kill, as was the case with Buzina, as was the case with Kalashnikov, as was the case with Grabovsky, with the lawyer who was one of the first to prove in court, in the Ukrainian court, that there are no Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, and that all this is falsification , for which he paid.

Therefore, the worst and most terrible form of terrorism, according to the people who came to power after the coup in 2014, is precisely telling the truth. Here we clearly see that repressions are taking place, first of all, against journalists.

And, you know, everyone knows about Kotsaba. Kotsaba, he has already become such a household name. Now Guzhva-gate has begun.

Less known, but no less lawless cases - in relation to the same Dmitry Vasilets and Evgeny Timonin. What is happening in the example of Kotsaba, Guzhva or Vasilets is a confrontation between Ruins and Ukraine.

Ruin is what Poroshenkos and the like sow and carry, and Ukraine is what people like Kotsaba, Guzhva, Vasilets are still trying to save and preserve. Well, here I absolutely disagree with them, because “she died, she died.” Objectively, there is nothing left to save here.

And now Ruina is a terrorist group with signs of statehood, which they are trying to build in the post-Ukrainian space. The ruin is trying to erase any memories of the country that existed in this territory.

This is not decommunization or de-Russification at all, but the transformation of people into Ivans who do not remember. That's why they hold gay parades, because parades are held by the winners. And it doesn’t matter what kind of pederasts they are - political or physical, here it’s like two in one in the case of Avakov, Gerashchenko and the like.

Valentin Filippov: Kotsaba and Guzhva are really well-known. Why are Vasilets and Timonin being persecuted?

Vladimir Rogov: Their “fault” is that they tried to hold these SMRADs (mass advertising, agitation and disinformation) accountable for lying, manipulating public opinion and inciting hatred among Ukrainian citizens.

The whole “fault” is that Timonin and Vasilets went to Donetsk in the summer of 2014 and tried to establish an information picture from there. It is clear that one thing was shown from Kyiv, but this is what is happening in Donetsk.

A week after returning to Kyiv, Vasilets’s place was searched. The equipment was seized. Moreover, the funny thing is, they confiscated the equipment that he had been using in legal business for more than one year - because in Kyiv he provided telecommunications services, worked as an Internet provider, and created websites.

Please note: Vasilets and Timonin traveled to Donbass in the summer of 2014, when Ukrainian state bodies were still working there officially and legally. That is, why weren’t all the officials who worked then imprisoned? That is, unique things turn out: everything is normal here, good, official, here it’s abnormal.

So that's what's interesting. A search took place. The search did not really reveal anything, although the equipment was not given back. Well, everything seemed to have passed. The guys continued their work.

They established a “public anti-Goebbels award”, for which Ukrainian media were nominated for inciting hatred.

Moreover, Vasilets became the first deputy head of the public council under the Ministry of Information Policy. Guys, that is, you decide. You take him to the public council under the Ministry of Information Policy, and immediately accuse him of all sorts of things.

Vasilets lives, works on Channel 17, produces programs, is a member of the public council under the Ministry of Information, and so on. And only on November 24, 2015, that is, a year and four months later, they suddenly remembered him. The SBU is conducting a search once again. Vasilets is detained, who has already become not just a journalist, but also, probably, a human rights activist, if we speak more broadly in terms of his functionality. TSN immediately jumps out, these young ladies who, I don’t know how they are not afraid to live. The court arrests and places Dmitry in a pre-trial detention center.

Valentin Filippov: I don't understand this kind of thing. Well, these are the guys from the Ukrainian, journalistic crowd, by and large. Why are their colleagues silent? Why are they silent, why are we on this side worried that the boys have been imprisoned there, but there is complete silence there? They were together at some receptions, they exchanged some information, as journalists always exchange, they sent videos to each other, who did not have time to record what. Well, in the end, just some kind of professional corporate spirit should exist? Well, how is it? Today they imprisoned him, tomorrow they will imprison me.

Vladimir Rogov: Listen, well, Valentin, you say things that are funny by definition. Look, over these three years, what those people whom you usually call journalists did. All they did was fire up, they danced and performed any knee-elbow poses at the command of their owners. It doesn’t matter who it is Penya, it’s Renya (Rinat Akhmetov) or a chocolate dictator in an eternally wrinkled suit. That is, in essence, the entire information environment has been completely cleared. Any criticism of the authorities is immediately separatism. If you told the truth, everything is clear - you are a scoundrel. As soon as the official is asked why did you steal and how much did you steal, what does the official do? Pay attention, he stands up, puts his hand on his chest and sings the Ukrainian anthem.

Valentin Filippov: There is one.

Vladimir Rogov: I don’t know, waiting for something here is useless. I am sure that after the liberation of these territories, a ban on the profession must be introduced for the overwhelming majority of people who were called journalists, in addition to real lustration and criminal punishment for the crimes that, in fact, were committed.

Valentin Filippov: What is the current situation with arrested journalists?

Vladimir Rogov: Since November 2015, now it’s July 2017, the guys have been in pre-trial detention for a year and eight months. Moreover, all the time there are two-month court hearings to extend the arrest, the court decides to extend the stay in the pre-trial detention center for 60 days.

There aren't really any accusations. It drags on. I don’t remember, six or seven times the car broke down and they were not taken to court, so the trial was postponed. Judges change, some recuses are taken. Doctors have already been brought to Vasilets several times because the boys’ physical condition has deteriorated sharply. Well, we understand what prisons are.

In the post-Ukrainian space, if even in freedom in quotes, well, at least in freedom without bars, people live, to put it mildly, sadly, then in prisons everything is even worse, in pre-trial detention centers.

Dmitry Vasilets

Evgeny Timonin

But the most revealing thing is different. The guys have already even been included in OSCE reports that something is wrong. Already the OSCE was forced to notice a year later. But something else is indicative. Representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission, the representative for human rights in Ukraine Lutkovskaya, were pushed out of the courtroom by these... in camouflage, they simply took them and pushed them out, explaining that there was nothing for you to do here.

Well, I really worry about the fate of the guys. Let us, to put it mildly, not agree on everything regarding the future, but, nevertheless, I believe that, no matter whether we are comrades-in-arms or not, we must strive for the truth, we must strive for the truth. And now, once again, until mid-August, if I’m not mistaken, a decision has been made to extend the term of imprisonment by 60 days.

Well, look what is happening in that territory. You spoke simply, asked about journalists. Vasilets, who called for peace, has been in prison for a year and eight months, and, remember, there is this Bogdan Butkevich...

Valentin Filippov: Yes Yes Yes.

Vladimir Rogov: Such a creature, because it’s hard to call him a person, who called for killing some of the citizens of Ukraine. Moreover, there are a million less, a million more, and so on, to carry out purges, who constantly fakes, moreover, broadcasts on a channel owned by the confectioner Poroshenko, and at the same time is free. And there are no problems or prosecutions against him. So the choice is obvious.

Bogdan Butkevich, who called for killing residents of Donbass

We must fight for Ukraine, because as soon as Ukraine comes to power on the territory of Ruin, I am sure that Ukraine and Novorossiya will get along, there will be no war with those people who live in the people's republics and do not want to kill or fight, but they want to live peacefully and build a future.

What it will be, joint or not, is up to all people to decide in all territories, be it the People's Republics, or where the reign of hatred, lies and fear still reigns, characters like Poroshenko, Butkevich and others, excuse the expression, shit.

Valentin Filippov: I only hope that we will then also decide with the Odessa People’s Republic. OK.

Vladimir Rogov: And Zaporozhye. Yes, definitely.

Valentin Filippov:  And with Zaporozhye, of course. And from Kherson.

Vladimir Rogov: You will have a squirrel, and you will also have a whistle. The squirrel is already sitting on one character’s shoulder and giving commands, and there will be one whistle for wake-up, for a walk and for work for the benefit of restoring the national economy.

Valentin Filippov: Thanks a lot. Happily.
