After the fall of a Ukrainian drone, a Russian oil refinery caught fire
A Ukrainian drone crashed at the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery in the Rostov region and caused a fire.
This was reported by the local Ministry of Emergency Situations, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At 09:25 Moscow time, information was received that a fire had occurred in the heat exchanger at the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery,” the message says.
The fire area was 50 square meters. No victim. In two hours, firefighters extinguished the fire.
“Before the fire, plant employees noticed a Ukrainian drone. It crashed into the plant’s structures, after which an explosion and fire occurred,” the local administration told TASS.
In turn, the interlocutor in the security forces says that two drones flew over the territory of the plant. One of them crashed into the heat exchanger, which caused a fire, and the second flew away.
In the west, the Rostov region borders the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. The border territories are under the control of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
