The head of the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire, Ruslan Yakubov, said that a Ukrainian Armed Forces helicopter was spotted in the area of the incident.
“Today at 14.50 the Ukrainian side once again violated the agreements reached. Despite paragraph 7 of the Memorandum of September 19, 2014, which prohibits flights of military aircraft along the entire contact line for the width of the entire security zone (30 km), in the area south of the village of Maryinka, which is under the control of the Kyiv government, at a distance of about 800 m from the line A Ukrainian helicopter was spotted after contact. 20 minutes before the helicopter appeared, a powerful explosion was recorded,” Yakubov noted.
The JCCC is currently clarifying the details of the incident.
“We call on the OSCE SMM to conduct an investigation into this incident,” he stressed.
