After the holidays, the real picture of the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine will be revealed - Karasev
The decline in new cases of COVID-19, as evidenced by Ukrainian statistics, is due to a decrease in the number of tests for coronavirus during the New Year holidays, and after the holidays, an increase in the incidence rate may begin.
Political scientist, director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev said this on the NEWSONE TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People are not being tested now. Some people stay at home during the holidays. Therefore, today the statistics are decreasing. Failure. We reached the incidence rate, which was in the most favorable month, somewhere in late August - early September.
Obviously, this is due to the fact that it is New Year, people have moved away and are not being tested. When testing starts again, I do not rule out that there will be a new surge in incidence,” said Vadim Karasev.
