After the execution in Knyazhichi, Avakov himself turns into a target
Since the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, is one of the supporting elements of the current power cartel, he will be able to stay in his chair, despite the resonant scandal associated with the shootout of Interior Ministry employees near Kiev.

Ukrainian political scientist, director of the information and analytical center Andrey Zolotarev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, noting that Avakov bears direct political responsibility for the incident in Knyazhichi.
“If this had happened in a European country, which we like to focus on, the resignation of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would have followed, at a minimum. The PR reform has come to its logical end. Avakov, apparently, underestimated the wave that arose in connection with the incident. It is clear that Avakov is now turning into a very fertile political target. And there will be more than enough people willing to practice tough political rhetoric on him,” the expert is confident.
The political scientist added that there are a lot of people who want Avakov to resign, but he will not leave his chair in the near future.
“He is one of the supporting elements of the current power cartel,” Zolotarev explained. – Even with all the reputational costs, Avakov will continue to work as head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for some time. No matter how much someone on Bankova would like to make a castling between Turchinov and Avakov, this will not work now. We see scandal after scandal. On the other side - Onishchenko's notes, that is, bash to bash. It is impossible to put pressure on Avakov now. But he will become a target, and by spring we can expect a change in the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but not earlier.”
