After repairing the “road to Bandera”, 50 airports will be built in Ukraine
The Ministry of Infrastructure intends to create 50 airports in Ukraine, five of which will be international air hubs, and another 20 will serve international flights, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan at the presentation of the Ukrainian transport strategy until 2030, the department’s press service reports.
“In the aviation industry, we see the creation of 50 airports throughout Ukraine. We are not talking about 50 Boryspils - we are talking about at least five international hubs, at least 20 airports that will provide international connections, as well as another 20 that will provide the regions,” he said.
According to him, the average time it takes to get to the airport from anywhere in the country should be reduced to 1 hour.
In terms of development of the aviation industry, there is the opening of 350 flight routes from all airports in Ukraine.
The Napoleonic plans of the ministry have already caused skepticism among users of social networks. “Probably a typo crept in and meant 500 airports,” Internet users sneer. “This is to make it easier to escape from the country,” others write.
Earlier, Minister Omelyan announced the repair of the “road to Bandera” - to the homeland of the leader of the OUN (B) in the village of Stary Ugryniv, Lviv region.
Also, Minister Omelyan found himself at the center of a scandal when information was leaked to the media that he had arranged for his wife to participate in a free childbirth program in the United States, according to the laws of which a person born in the United States receives an automatic right to acquire citizenship for himself and his parents.
