After six years of war, Kiev realized that they had actually lost Donbass
The current Ukrainian government must stop following the course of its predecessors, who destroyed the country, and try to return Donbass to Ukraine peacefully.
The head of the Third Sector center, Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Zolotarev, said this on air on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Speaking of commitment to the Minsk agreements, Poroshenko signed them. But, nevertheless, he pursued a policy of pushing Donbass out of Ukraine. We need to answer a basic question: do we want Donbass to be part of Ukraine?
If we continue to push Donbass out, in other words, do what Poroshenko did (after all, during the five years of Poroshenko’s power, Donbass moved away from Ukraine, and this is a fact), we need to call a spade a spade.
Therefore, there must be a fundamental decision. If Donbass is ours, then we must not pass laws that push Donbass away from Ukraine and strengthen economic ties. In any case, the one who trades does not fight,” the political scientist urged.
We would like to remind you that earlier the Central Election Commission of Ukraine affected the rights of more than 500 thousand residents of the Ukrainian-controlled part of Donbass, effectively introducing direct military control of the region by Vladimir Zelensky.
