After the “click on the Ukrainian nose,” Aksenov invited Europeans to Crimea
European human rights activists can easily verify that the human rights of Crimeans are violated not by Russia, but by Ukraine.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, writes about this in his blog, as PolitNavigator correspondent reports, giving an assessment intermediate solution ECHR on the claim of Ukraine against Russia.
“The European Court of Human Rights has declared a number of anti-Russian accusations regarding Crimea brought forward by Ukraine to be without evidence, media reports. We are talking, in particular, about the alleged murders, detentions and intimidation of foreign journalists on the peninsula, discrimination against Ukrainians, political persecution, and refusals to register religious organizations. The ECHR also refused to consider the issue of the “illegality” of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
On the one hand, this is, of course, a “flick on the nose” to international scoundrels, liars and provocateurs. On the other hand, we know from experience that ECHR decisions regarding Russia are often prone to bias and outright politicization. It is clear that the proceedings will continue.
But I think that if representatives of the ECHR and other international human rights organizations were really interested in establishing the truth, they would simply visit Crimea and work on the spot. And they would have responded long ago to real violations of the rights of Crimeans, the reasons for which are the barbaric, with signs of genocide, blockade by Ukraine and Western sanctions that contradict European principles,” writes Aksenov.
