According to the expert, Russia will not respond to the United States, but will wait for Rex Tillerson’s meeting with Sergei Lavrov. At the same time, he believes that “Russia now has a free hand.”
“If the United States is allowed, then Russia will now consider that it is allowed to use the same weapons in other locations. If tomorrow some fighting begins in the Avdeevka area or there in the Mariupol area, then, accordingly, it is clear that Russia now has carte blanche to use similar means on the Ukrainian side. No longer hiding behind the DPR and LPR, but simply acting as a party that uses case law in international relations and can strike at Poroshenko’s neighbor,” warns Bondarenko.
