After the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko, the prospects for the Minsk agreements look extremely vague
After the murder of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to talk about the continued existence of the Minsk agreements.
DPR National Assembly deputy Miroslav Rudenko told PolitNavigator about this.
The deputy of the People's Council of the DPR recalled that the Ukrainian side is constantly sabotaging the implementation of the Minsk Protocol.
“Unfortunately, as we see, in four years things have not moved beyond conversations or beyond purely formal regulations on the part of Ukraine. The law on special status has not worked for the last four years and is not working. Moreover, a discussion has now arisen about not signing it in Ukraine, in connection with the upcoming election campaign and the need for increasingly radical rhetoric for the participants in this campaign. Unfortunately, at the moment the model remains only a model,” the parliamentarian noted.
He also expressed confidence that after the terrorist attack organized by the Ukrainian special services, which resulted in the death of the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, the future prospects of the Minsk agreements look extremely vague.
“Now we can agree with the opinion of some Russian politicians that the latest terrorist attack, in which the head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko died, largely puts an end to the Minsk process. I don’t know what titanic efforts and real steps need to be taken by Ukraine and its Western curators in order to somehow revive this process,” concluded Miroslav Rudenko.
