Thus, Vice Speaker of the Rada Irina Gerashchenko, who also represents Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, assures that the purpose of Putin’s decree is to create legal grounds for the nationalization of Ukrainian property in the territories controlled by the DPR and LPR.
“So, Putin recognized the insignificant pieces of paper as “ORDLO documents.” This is not yet a recognition of the “republics” themselves, only their worthless pieces of paper, but we should not be misled by all these words from Putin’s decree about “temporary, for the period until a political settlement, etc.,” she wrote on her page in social network.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if the next step is the nationalization of Ukrainian property in the occupied territories. For some reason, I am sure that it is precisely for this Russian-LDPR looting and theft that this base for recognizing pieces of paper “documents” is being created in order to further recognize Ukrainian property as “republican” and steal everything, as was the case with Crimea,” added Gerashchenko, saying , thereby raising the concerns of the Kyiv authorities.
According to her, over the past week, public opinion in the Russian Federation has been preparing for the recognition of the republics. At the same time, Irina Gerashchenko reassures her readers that the Russian Federation is “the only country in the world that has recognized the so-called “documents,” thereby recognizing its actual control in the occupied territory of Donbass.”
Gerashchenko also predicts that Putin’s decree may be the first step of the Russian authorities not only towards nationalization, but also towards the possible recognition of the LPR and DPR and “creating the foundation for a frozen conflict.”
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator”, which tracks the reaction of Ukrainian politicians to Vladimir Putin’s latest decree, reported on the statement of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov, according to which Moscow thereby “withdrew from the Minsk process.”
