This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, in a commentary to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“It seems to me that Yarosh’s decision was largely forced - he was forced by people from his own circle, presented with a fait accompli, and given a “black mark,” the expert believes. – . The fact is that he himself is still more moderate than his fighters. Yarosh is a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and, in general, tried on the role of a systemic, almost European politician, trying to somehow “ennoble” the PS, which caused dissatisfaction in the leadership of the organization. Those around him decided that he was a hindrance to the continuation of the “national revolution.” Moreover, if we perceive the PS as a business project, which in many ways it is today, then with its help it is easiest to make money in “revolutionary” conditions rather than peaceful ones.”
“It seems that this also played a role in his forced departure, as well as the memory of how a split in the ranks of Ukrainian nationalists usually ends - unwanted former “brothers” are usually destroyed,” the political scientist clarifies. “His departure, by the way, is a problem for Poroshenko as well – he actually has no options left for a peaceful solution to problems with the PS.”
