After martial law, Ukrainian border guards staged mass face control for Russians
More than 30 Russian citizens were denied entry to Ukraine.
Passengers of Belavia Airlines Flight 829, which arrived from Minsk to Kyiv on November 26, told Izvestia about this.
It is noted that the Belarusian airlines plane arrived at the airport of the Ukrainian capital at about 18:00 Kyiv time, after which a thorough check was carried out for more than 30 people with Russian passports.
As a result, the Ukrainian border service denied them entry. Russian citizens will be sent back to Minsk on the first flight.
“Someone from the border service authorities came out and said: it’s like face control in a club - some are allowed in, but others are not. We won’t let you in,” one of the passengers told the publication.
According to her, such cases began to occur after 17:00 on Monday, when martial law was introduced in Ukraine. However, she added that passengers who arrived in Kyiv on November 26 had not encountered such problems before this time.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday in Ukraine the Verkhovna Rada introduced martial law in parts of the regions bordering the Russian Federation.
